Y’know the one you happily tap after Yoshi drops a banana in your path right at the finish line, making your kart spin out into another galaxy?

Bruhhh. The restart button was my bestie.

Which is probably why I tried to use it in real life, too.

‘Cause my health journey has been far from smooth. After letting loose in college, I finally committed to becoming a better version of myself.

I cleaned up my diet and cultivated a consistent gym habit. Which sounds awesome … except things very quickly morphed from healthy to disordered.

Kinda obvious, right? Except, my *fave* button in a game has always been the restart button.

Life doesn’t have cheat codes or restart buttons.

Here's the thing fam...

You don’t need a cheat (code, meal or day!)

FOR MY ASPIRING BAD-ASSES, PLEASE KNOW:

‘Cause even though I knew EXACTLY what to do, I just couldn’t stop eating, stuffing my face until I felt like my stomach was gonna pop.

And, worse, I rationalized my binge-eating with the all too common “last supper” mindset, tricking myself into believing I could eat all the bad food TODAY and swore I'd get my shit together tomorrow.

I (usually) did and tapped that restart button by purging out my failures, restricting myself harder, and then white-knuckling it to lose the weight I’d gained when I’d lost control.

I found myself trapped in an all-or-nothing mentality that had me obsessing over food 24/7. The shame was real. I was a fitness coach, ffs. How had this happened to me?

your story to be told

I made four small but powerful shifts:

I stopped obsessing about “weight loss” and focused on healing my relationship with food (yo, there are no bad foods!)

I quit spending so much time on the scale and started taking progress photos instead.

I swapped my restart button and “all or nothing” thinking with self compassion and taking things moment at a time.

And I FINALLY gave my mental health the love, care and attention it deserved.

Today, I’m exactly where I want to be:
 Happy, leaner, confident and free.

Fam, I battled this cycle for a loooong time.

And it is SO important to me to provide a safe, nourishing space for other humans to bravely heal, grow and transform … without suffering in silence or feeling the pain of eating issues and starving body confidence like I did.

Then one day,
I got sick of
The bS stories I was feeding myself.
